Your Birth Experience Matters


As your Houston Birth Photographer and a certified Labor & Postpartum Doula I am here to tell you that the above statement is so important and so true! The birth of a child is a momentous time in your life. It can also be a blur of excitement, fear, exhaustion, love, and anticipation. I did not understand the reason anyone would hire a birth photographer in this day and age of iPhones until I gave birth to my second daughter and realized how many moments I wish we had captured...


Her birth was a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) in a Birth Center and I felt so incredibly supported, loved, and safe. My husband was there to support me, my midwives were wonderful, and my doula knew exactly how to help and guide us through the experience. I had my doula take videos and photos on my phone and thought that I would be satisfied. Little did I know I would really need my doula and husband to have both hands free and completely focus on me during the hardest points of my labor. I did end up with some video and a few pictures but nothing like what I had imagined having. Truly what I imagined was what the role of a Birth Photographer encompasses.

Allow someone with a passion for storytelling through images to help tell the story of your beauty and power.
  3. YOUR BIRTH TEAM NEEDS TO FOCUS ON YOU: No matter where you birth or how you birth your birth team needs to be able to completely focus on you. You don't deserve anything less than that. They will feel free to fully support you and be there for you in whatever way you desire without having to worry about pulling their phones out to grab a picture during a life changing moment.
